A Tribute to a Life Devoted to Justice, Peace, and the Poor
It is with sorrow that I learned of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. In this sad event, I express my solidarity and compassion to the Vatican City State, to the Church, Family of God in Burkina Faso, and to Catholics throughout the world. I remember Pope Francis as a man who devoted his life fully to the cause of the poor and the most deprived, and to justice and peace in the world. I salute the memory of this Sovereign Pontiff who, during his reign, never ceased to demonstrate his closeness and solidarity with Burkina Faso, amidst the ordeal of terrorism imposed on our country. May he rest in the peace of his Lord, whom he served with remarkable humility and profound dedication.
His legacy will continue to inspire countless individuals around the globe, and his commitment to interfaith dialogue and compassion will remain a guiding light for generations to come. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the profound impact he had on the world, and we pray that his spirit of love and peace continues to guide us.
