RCCG General Overseer announces a special divine-led intercession for the nation, focusing on INEC, politicians, lawmakers, and political science students
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, will on Sunday lead a special divine-led national prayer session for Nigeria and its leadership institutions. The revered cleric, known globally for his humility and prophetic insight, announced that the prayer will focus on the peace, stability, and spiritual renewal of the nation — particularly targeting key sectors such as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political officeholders, lawmakers, and students of political science, who represent the future custodians of governance.
According to the church’s announcement, the prayer session, themed “Divine Intervention for National Restoration,” will seek God’s mercy upon the land and call for wisdom, truth, and fairness to prevail in Nigeria’s political and democratic processes. Pastor Adeboye emphasized that the destiny of a nation is not shaped by politics alone but by the collective prayers and righteousness of its people. “When we stand before God with clean hearts, even the mightiest systems of men will bow to divine order,” he stated.
Thousands of worshippers, government officials, and students are expected to join the intercessory service both physically and through live streaming across RCCG parishes worldwide. Religious observers note that Pastor Adeboye’s decision to include political science students in the prayer focus underscores his long-held belief in raising a new generation of morally upright leaders. The Sunday prayer, many say, could mark another turning point in Nigeria’s spiritual awakening, as the nation continues to seek divine guidance amid social and political challenges.
