Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda, has signed the 2026 budget bill into law, maintaining the total allocation at N897.86 billion. The budget, which was passed by the State House of Assembly, focuses on infrastructure development, health, education, security, and social welfare programs.
Governor Radda said the budget aims to ensure fiscal discipline while addressing critical needs across the state. He stressed that proper implementation of the budget would contribute to economic growth and improve the living standards of Katsina residents.
According to government sources, the budget maintains key allocations for ongoing projects while introducing new initiatives aimed at boosting local revenue, expanding healthcare access, and improving the quality of education in public institutions.
The governor called on all ministries, departments, and agencies to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely execution of projects outlined in the budget. He emphasized that citizen engagement and oversight would be crucial in achieving the intended outcomes.
