A disturbing video recorded inside a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch in Eruku Town, Kwara State, has surfaced online, capturing the peaceful worship atmosphere moments before heavily armed t£rror!sts invaded the premises. The footage shows members of the congregation singing and clapping during a prayer session, unaware that a violent attack was about to unfold outside their walls.

According to eyewitnesses, the service had just entered a prayer segment when faint sounds of movement were heard near the entrance of the church. In the video, no one seemed alarmed, as many assumed it was latecomers arriving for worship, not knowing that an armed group had positioned themselves around the building.

Residents say the attackers, armed with rifles, advanced towards the church from a nearby bush path that connects Eruku to remote villages. The attackers reportedly waited for the worship session to intensify before striking, a tactic commonly used to catch victims off guard and reduce the chance of escape. The calmness seen in the video contrasts sharply with the chaos that followed moments later.

Community members described the incident as one of the most frightening episodes the town has experienced in recent years. Families are still shaken, and several residents say they are struggling to sleep since the attack. Security operatives are said to be combing the area for clues, while many locals fear the attackers may still be hiding in surrounding forests.

Authorities in Kwara State have been urged to increase surveillance around worship places, especially in border towns like Eruku which are vulnerable to infiltration. Meanwhile, religious leaders in the area have called for calm and prayers, emphasizing that the community must remain united as investigations continue.
