Gunmen have again attacked a commercial bus operated by Benue Links, the Benue State Government-owned transport company, leaving three passengers with gunshot injuries, according to information gathered at the scene.
The attack reportedly occurred while the vehicle was en route on a major road within Benue State, causing panic among passengers and road users as the assailants opened fire on the bus.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen struck suddenly, forcing the driver to stop as passengers attempted to flee for safety. Three occupants of the vehicle were confirmed to have sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.
The injured passengers were reportedly rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment, while security personnel later arrived at the scene to assess the situation and restore calm.
