It has been confirmed that Kayode Adeniyi was the driver of the vehicle involved in a car crash that claimed the lives of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele and left Anthony Joshua injured. The incident occurred on Monday in Nigeria, according to information presented before the court.

Investigators told the court that Adeniyi was behind the wheel at the time of the crash, following the conclusion of preliminary findings and witness accounts linked to the incident. The confirmation was central to the charges filed against him.

Adeniyi was charged in court on Friday on four counts connected to the crash. These include dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention causing bodily harm and damage to property, and driving without a valid national driver’s licence.

The charges were formally read during the court session, with prosecutors outlining the alleged violations tied to the fatal accident. The court acknowledged the seriousness of the case due to the loss of lives and injuries sustained.

Following the hearing, the court granted Adeniyi bail in the sum of £2,578, equivalent to five million naira. Bail conditions were stated by the presiding judge in open court.

The matter has been adjourned until January 20 for trial. Authorities indicated that further proceedings will determine responsibility and possible penalties under Nigerian law.
