The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has launched the Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanisation Programme in Abuja, with the aim of making farming more appealing to Nigerian youths. According to Tinubu, the programme is designed to modernize agriculture, leveraging technology and innovation to empower young people.

The programme will deploy over 2,000 advanced tractors, 50 industrial-grade land preparation bulldozers, and 9,000-plus specialized farming implements to ease farming processes. This move is expected to create job opportunities for young Nigerians, both in farming and service provision.

Tinubu's administration is working with international partners to equip youths with skills in modern agricultural practices, promoting financial independence. By showcasing farming as a viable and attractive career option, the programme seeks to draw more young people into the agricultural sector.

The Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanisation Programme is part of Tinubu's efforts to transform Nigeria into a global agricultural powerhouse. By embracing modern farming techniques and technology, the administration hopes to increase productivity and make agriculture a profitable venture for Nigerian youths.

The programme's success is expected to have a positive impact on the country's economy, as agriculture is a key sector that can drive growth and development. With the right support and resources, Nigerian youths can unlock their potential and contribute to the country's prosperity.
